Courtney and Tania were amazing and helped us problem solve and come up with creative solutions to challenges that were hard to control. Our pup has come so far and we as owners/parents feel much more prepared to handle all the things city life with a puppy can throw at us!

Tania was absolutely wonderful! She was responsive and kind and had so many smart tricks and tips to help us work through various issues. We had tried for WEEKS to teach our puppy to “drop it” and it took Tania – literally – a single try and our puppy has had it ever since.

Stephanie was the best! Really sweet, understanding, and patient. She was always extremely responsive and ALWAYS positive. Also, her dog is the cutest. I could tell she knew what she was doing and had great advice for everyone’s questions. I was recommended by Petey & Furends Rescue and I have already recommended this class to friends! Thank you.

Avi and Tania work really well together and are always super prepared for each session. They also follow up each session with an email reviewing what we learned including resources for further assistance They really care about the dogs and treat them with such love and tenderness. Even though our dog has a history of aggression, they did not give up on her and did not vilify her. I always felt like our dog came out of class each time a little more confident and calm.

I thought the quality of instruction was extremely good and Kayleigh was amazing. I was worried a virtual class would be less helpful but I honestly think it was even better for my dog to learn the basics at home. Kayleigh was also really helpful with my questions about how things were working in the real world. I feel much more confident in the training foundation my dog has now and my ability to problem solve going forward.

When we first adopted our rescue, Daisy, our hands were full. She had severe separation anxiety which resulted in noise complaints from our neighbors, potty accidents, and a chewed up mattress. That’s when Toni came to our rescue! With her help, we were able to leave Daisy peacefully asleep on the couch for hours at a time. Even throughout the pandemic, we’ve relied on the tools Toni gave us to reduce Daisy’s dependence on us being home. We highly recommend Toni and her team. The entire experience was extremely pawsitive!!

Stephanie was fantastic, even in a virtual environment, in clearly explaining and giving feedback, and helping us catch up when we had to miss a class, and sending specific tips, videos, etc. to help with our questions.

Love the online class option (very helpful since we live far away and work late) – Stephanie was a great instructor!

Dear Spot on dog training family,

It is with gratitude for the many years of being able to help dogs in the DMV, but also sadness that we will no longer be able to do so in the same capacity as always, that I write to inform you that on September 1, 2021, Spot on dog training will be closing in Washington, D.C.

Similar to many other businesses, the challenges presented by adapting our training services to COVID-19 has been difficult and after fits and starts of reopening, continuing pandemic related issues have prevented us from finding qualified and highly skilled dog trainers to serve your training needs.

As a result, we will be closing ALL in person dog training including group classes, workshops and private lessons. We will remain open for separation anxiety and isolation disorder training, as well as virtual training option for potty/crate training and emergency recall.

You have my sincere gratitude for your business and for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of your family, and please keep us in mind for future referrals and positive reviews of our services. Please continue to refer us to your friends with dogs in need of help with alone time issues and potty training.

It was our sincere effort to offer excellent customer service to our clients, and we hope we were successful in our endeavors. We thank you for believing in us and sticking with us since 2009.

Sincerely,
Toni Woods, ABCDT, CSAT, CGC Evaluator
