We want you to think of Spot On Training as a partner for life and have created a class structure that creates good habits that last a lifetime through manners, socialization, and fun!

These private courses are designed for non-reactive dogs. Temperament testing may be required.

Private Classes Available

(8 weeks - 6 months)
Puppy Manners

This is a 5 week private course with an initial 45 minute virtual orientation. It also includes a complimentary puppy play date at the Spot on training facility. This class is designed to help puppies grow into well adjusted dogs that enjoy life and know your household rules. Young puppies are very impressionable and their experiences can have lasting effects on their behavior. We’ll give you tools you need to create a strong foundation while focusing on socialization skills, good manners, and confidence building.

Class focus: Name recognition/attention skills, the art of saying ‘please’, sit, down, intro to coming when called, intro to walking on a leash, potty/crate training, puppy chewing/mouthing, handling/grooming, jumping up and socialization.

Family Dog Manners I

This is a 5 week private course with an initial 45 minute virtual orientation. This class is designed to help you establish and maintain a happy and healthy relationship between you and your dog. Dogs have special training needs as they hit sexual maturity entering the ‘teenage years’ and then grow up into mature adults. This class provides an opportunity to continue learning basic skills and good habits to help your dog understand your household rules and expectations so you can BOTH enjoy life.

Class focus: Increased attention skills, sit, down, impulse control (the art of saying ‘please’), take it/drop it, leave it, go to mat, stay, leash manners, coming when called, and polite greetings.

Prerequisite: None

Family Dog Manners II

This 3 week private course is designed to help you continue to maintain a happy and healthy relationship between you and your dog. This class provides an opportunity to not only continue learning basic skills and good habits but to increase distance and duration of cues and work with real life distractions and challenges to help your dog understand your household rules and expectations so you can BOTH enjoy life.

Class focus: Increased attention skills, sit and down at a distance, improving “stay on mat” cues, leash manners, emergency recall, polite greetings, back up, and stand.

Orientation: NO

Prerequisite: Family Manners or similar class. Your dog must know sit, stay, and down.

Aunt Toni’s Treks

Is a tired dog a happy dog? You Bet! Does your fur baby need more exercise and you just can’t find the time? Well, Spot On family, look no further! I am here to help balance your dog’s energy with activity. Aunt Toni’s Treks (ATT) are designed to help get your dog tired and develop trail walking manners. The Trek includes pick up, drop off, a 4–6-mile hike in Auburn State Park and loose leash training. The entire journey averages 4.5 hours. Spaces are limited so please plan ahead and schedule your Trek now! Cost: $60
