The Puppy Class creates good habits that last a lifetime through socialization, manners, and fun.  Our puppy class is a 7 week class designed to help puppies grow into well adjusted dogs that enjoy life and know your household rules.  Young puppies are very impressionable and their experiences can have lasting effects on their behavior.

We will give you the tools you need to create a strong foundation.  With dedication, the results will last a lifetime.  The Puppy Class will focus on socialization skills, good manners, and confidence building.  The behaviors taught in this class will include:

1. •attention & self control
   

2. •sit, down, and stand
   

3. •leave it
   

4. •drop it
   

5. •come when called
   

6. •leash manners
   

We also review puppy behaviors that include:

1. •house/crate training
   

2. •puppy chewing/biting
   

3. •jumping up
   

What can you expect?  The Puppy Class is a semi-private class that allows for individual attention and personalized instruction.  The first class will be an orientation without dogs.  All future sessions will run for 1 hour.  Proof of vaccines and a signed training agreement outlining Spot On Training policies is required at orientation.  Classes will be run in and outdoors weather permitting.  And yes the puppies will be able to play!  That is one of the many elements to socialization.   

Requirements All puppies 8 weeks to 6 months are welcome.  They must have at least 2 DHPP booster shots and Rabies vaccine if 16 weeks or older.  Bordetella is recommended, but not required.  All puppies should be free of parasites, free of infectious disease, and overall good health.

How much does it cost?  The Puppy Class is $185 and is due at the time of registration.
